Chapter #18Hi, Aerith by: Dread   As the newest member of Avalanche, you aren't much good in a fight but you are an engineer with levels of creativity that rival Ironman. Slowly the group is starting to see your usefulness as you created the elevator that leads downstairs in the 7th Heaven bar base and upgraded Barret's arm cannon. Until you can learn to use guns and be a bit more resilient to pain, you are stuck tending to the bar and technically babysitting Marlene, although she is luckily pretty content with staying upstairs and being independent. That allows you to focus on building your latest invention to help your resistance group.
A flying vehicle by itself is an amazing invention but it is not even close to the best part. This vehicle shrinks to near microscopic levels. With this vehicle, you can use it to spy on Shinra Inc and scout out Mako reactors before conducting bombing runs. If you can upgrade it even more, perhaps you can shrink a bomb into your vehicle, fly it to the reactor, grow and plant the bomb before shrinking again and escaping. Avalanche is so close to saving Gaia and the group just recently formed!
You haven't told anyone about the vehicle yet since you don't want to get hopes up in case you fail. With everyone gone, now's the perfect time to test this thing and surprise them when they get back. You first want to test the flight features, so you walk outside and drag the pod-like vehicle out from under the building. You have to get inside of it laying on your belly and close the glass canopy. Using the monitor hologram buttons, you power on the vehicle and find yourself hovering. By now, people outside of 7th Heaven have taken notice and start to point up as you and the small flying vehicle get higher and higher. You are about to use the thrusters when you see flashing red and a loud alarm blaring through the glass canopy.
Shina alarm!
Robotic helicopter drones are alerted to your unidentified vehicle intruding in Shina airspace! Your vehicle is extremely resilient but Shinra but not strong enough to handle Shina missiles and gatling guns! You grab the joysticks on the sides of yourself and press the button on top of the left stick to activate the afterburner! However, you are not losing these drones as your vehicle alerts you to the sound of the firing missile locked on to your vehicle! This is a shrinking reconnaissance vehicle, not a fighter jet with countermeasures, you are screwed! Wait, shrinking vehicle, now is the time to test that!
You press the button on the hologram HUD and the effects are instantaneous! The world becomes a blur around your vehicle as you shrink to almost nothing in thin air. The gigantic missile flies past you like a moving planet, the wind from it making your vehicle lose control as you couldn't possibly design it to be flyable in these conditions.
BOOM!
The missile explodes in the distance and the shockwave sends your vehicle careening to the ground. You try every control surface possible to regain control but you can only slow the inevitable as you prepare for a fiery crash.
THUD!
Instead of death, you are met with a view of yellow cotton balls surrounding your vehicle. It was like being in a gigantic ballpen and outside of those were dark orange columns that extending around the pen you are inside like a slanted wall. You realized that you landed in a flower, with the yellow balls being pollen and the "wall" being the flower pedals from far beyond. You survived and the vehicle works as intended, now you just have to get back! You press the button to grow the vehicle but nothing happens. You press it again, still nothing. Maybe the battery is slow for the size feature and you need the alternator to charge it up after everything that happened.
The flower you are on starts swaying back and forth as you hearing a distant thunderous sound getting louder with each sway of the flower. The sound is getting deafening and you feel the flower is about to collapse when suddenly BOOM! A colossal black boot lands just beyond your flower loft, sending dust soaring miles into the air about where you and your vehicle are as a rain of dirty hail mixes with the pollen. Looking up, you gaze up a column of bare skin on the giant being's leg until they disappear up a long apricot dress, with you being able to make out the pink panty underneath. Further above, you see a small red jacket covering her normally modest but now mountainous breasts with a chic necklace nestled in her cleavage. Her long flowing brown hair is complimented by a braid on each side as they conform along a seemingly perfect face that is so far above it is blurry. That is until the giantess beings to bend down with her face lowering towards you to reveal that she is a goddess with shimmering green eyes. You would be in love if you didn't realize she was about to sniff the flower you are on!
