(I'm confused. First it was, "once there was a baby", i.e. the baby is a separate character. Now, it's "you")

You/the baby boy was/were confused. One minute, you were/he was watching TV on your/his dad's knee, the next, you were/he was on a changing table in an unfamiliar house, and somewhere along the line, you/he had messed your/his diaper.

How old is this baby?
