The choice was obvious. You'd followed the group of girls in here with the intention of swapping with them, and while you would have liked a bit more time to get closer and properly consider all your options, there was no reason to not just use the girls as your way out of this.
The most obvious solution was just to become a girl. After all, this was a store that sold women's clothing, so if you were a woman, there should be no problem with you being here. Maybe there was an option for gender or sex or something that would turn you into a woman and turn the woman you were swapping with into a man. That would also give you a good base to work from if you wanted to swap anything with the women, as you'd already have a female body, instead of just, for instance, sticking a pair of boobs on your male body. It would leave one of the women you were planning on swapping with as a man, but that was fine. They shouldn't have any issues with getting thrown out like you were, since they'd come in a group with their friends.
That said, completely becoming a woman just to avoid getting thrown out of the store felt like a lot all at once, especially considering you hadn't actually used the remote properly yet. Maybe you could do something a little smaller first and still avoid getting thrown out. For example, clothes. Even if you were still a boy, if you swapped clothes with one of the women, you'd still have a pretty clear reason to be here. You'd just need to make sure the outfit you inherited was girly enough that it was obvious you wore girls clothes. Of course, you could always just make it a bit more obvious. For example, if you put your head on the body of one of the women, then you'd get their clothes and a body that was made to wear female clothes, making it all the more appropriate for you to be in the store. That faced the same issues as fully becoming a girl though, being a little intimidating at first.
Of course, while you could always change things to make it so you weren't thrown out, you could always just let yourself get thrown out and become someone else. According the manual, the remote should have all kinds of options, so it probably had an option somewhere that would allow you to switch "lives" with someone, so people would see you as the person you swapped with, and them as you. With that, you could just become one of the girls you'd followed in, and they'd leave the store as you. It'd mean giving up one of the potential girls to swap with, but it would give you free reign to get as close to the others as you wanted. Of course, it would put you in a little bit of an awkward situation. Coming to the mall by yourself, you'd been free to roam around as you pleased and swap with whoever you liked, but if you became one of the girls, you'd probably have to accompany them on their shopping trip, and be careful not to let them notice the remote. You'd also have to try and pretend to be the woman you swapped with, and you didn't know how much the remote would help you out in that regard, considering you had no idea who any of these women were. Perhaps there was a better option to choose.
