Chris' first day of work

Chris woke up ready to work as he yawned and got ready for the day. It was really strange sleeping in his cousin’s room. Everything of hers was still here. Her clothes, jewelry, even the band posters she had back in high school. He felt like she was going to walk in on him at any time.
Going into Sam’s old bathroom felt weird too. While it was nice to have his own private bathroom for once all of Sam’s things were still there too.
Chris jumped into the shower and began to clean up. He realized he hadn’t brought any toiletries with him like shampoo or toothpaste. He didn’t think it was a big deal as he saw Sam’s old shampoo bottle and body washes and began to use them to clean himself up.
Jumping out of the shower Chris noticed he didn’t have any five o’clock shadow like he normally did. He was always really prone to growing his facial hair real quickly.
“Huh...that’s weird.” Chris said feeling his soft cheeks. He shrugged it off like no big deal as he brushed his teeth and got ready for the morning.
Throwing on his jeans and shirt Chris headed downstairs as Michelle and Bob were waiting for him.
“I guess...It’s still just weird for me.” Chris replied.
“I understand. Still it means the world to us that you are here lending a hand.” Michelle replied.
Bob and Michelle soon began to show Chris the ropes. Everything from how to use the cash register, to the menu items, cleaning and busing tables, as well as customer service with ordering.
It was a lot to take in all in one day but since it was just the three of them Chris had to learn pretty much everything. Bob ran the kitchen and Michelle ran the floor. Chris was the one in between getting everything else done.
After a long day They finally closed down. Chris was exhausted being in his feet all day. How did Sam manage this for years?
Going back to bed Chris fell asleep knowing he had another full day ahead of him tomorrow.
