They head to the mall

    by: Guyman Author IconMail Icon
Eric stormed his way towards the mall’s entrance, dark expression doing nothing to detract from his cuteness.

It was enough that he had to be a girl, and it was more than enough to be his friend’s fantasy girl, but Kyle didn’t have to treat him like it!

Opening the front door before him, offering his hand when leaving the car — it made him want to scream.

He’s just trying to be nice, a singsong voice echoed in his head. It sounded suspiciously similar to his new one, and exactly like the one that made him put on these thrice-damned heels.

Eric ground a frustrated knuckle against his temple. It slid in between every irritated thought, every inch of anger he wanted to express towards Kyle. If he wasn’t thinking about how pissed he was, a dopey smile’d spread across his face with the idea of cuddling Kyle, or maybe even kissin— NO!

His stomps magnified their strength and speed, causing an unfortunate ripple in his backside. His face reddened over the thought of Kyle watching, though he couldn’t quite tell if it was frustration or sheepishness. This magic shit was scary.

He wrapped a dainty hand around the door handle, preparing himself for the visit inside. Make it to the witch store — where is located god-knows-where — ask the witch for help — who may or may not be a phony — and hope that she doesn’t ask for their souls in tribute. It wasn’t the best plan, but it was a plan. Kinda.

The sound of Kyle’s footsteps reached his ears, lighting a nervous fire in Eric. Maybe proximity was the x-factor in all the pink, bubbly thoughts in his head. He yanked the door to make his escape inside, away from the cloying musk of his friend… but the door didn’t budge.

He gave it a second tug, trying to brace his left foot against the other door for leverage, but he was not nearly as competent in heels as he’d like to think sending him toppling backwards…

Right into Kyle’s (warm, well muscled) arms.

Kyle blinked. “Whoa man, you gotta be careful. Also, it’s a push door.” He gave the door a demonstrative shove, sending it open easily. “See?”

But Eric couldn’t hear anything, between the thumping of his heart and the heated argument in his head.

“Say ‘Thanks, dude!” said the incumbent Eric-brain.

Say ‘I love you!’” squealed the lovelorn Erica-psyche.

Eric choked out an “I L— thank you, dude.” after a few amazi uncomfortable seconds.

Kyle rubbed the back of his head, oblivious to the near-confession. “Hey, it’s no problem. And you’re super light now, so it was eas—”

But Eric had already turned and started tic-tak-ing his way inside the mall, trying — and failing — to suppress the wide grin across his cherry-red face.
