Shopping With Morgan and Ella

    by: PX114 Author IconMail Icon
You followed Ella and Morgan out of the store, your arms filled with bags of new clothing. With Morgan’s magic it had been easy to buy whatever outfits you’d wanted, and you did have to admit you really liked that pretty sky blue dress you’d found. Ella had excitedly thanked Morgan after she was able to buy an expensive dress she’d been wanting for weeks. While you were happy your girlfriend and sister were starting to get along so well, you were still somewhat annoyed with how Morgan was acting. It was like she barely remembered you were supposed to be a guy at all!

At the food court, Morgan continued to ask questions about “Bella.” You’d been nervous when you’d admitted that you’d gone to the dance with Mike, but to your surprise Morgan had seemed….okay with it?

“It’s my fault you are stuck as a teenage girl this year.” She’d said quietly. “I know how powerful the spell I used is. It’s only natural a girl your age would have a crush on a handsome guy.” She smirked as you started coughing, Ella trying to stifle her laughter as you glared at her.

“So how are your classes going?” You asked, desperately to change the subject. Morgan eagerly began describing the courses she’d been taking this year. Back when you’d been a guy you’d been in many of the same ones, but now the information she was describing—which you’d had little trouble with before— seemed incredibly difficult.

After having lunch at the food court, Morgan led you and your sister to another store in the mall to pick out some new shoes to go with the dresses you’d just bought. You needed an extra notebook for school, so the next stop was an arts and crafts store to purchase one.

Finally the three of you decided to head back home, and you loaded your bags into the trunk of Morgan’s car. Your girlfriend had only purchased a few items, but you and Ella had so many bags you were almost surprised the lid shut.

On your way back home the car fell into a peaceful silence. Morgan turned on the radio, and the comforting sounds of one of your favorite bands—the guy version of you, anyway—came out. Sitting back in your seat, you simply closed your eyes and let the familiar words wash over you.

Morgan dropped you and Ella off at your house, and after unpacking all of your new clothing you collapsed on your bed with a groan. Ella rolled her eyes at you. “I know you like shopping just as much as I do, Bella.” She said with a grin. “Don’t pretend like you didn’t have fun today.”

You spent the next few hours texting with Haley and Zoe, trying not to think about the tests you failed today. It was so not fair! You remembered how to solve the problems—or, at least, you thought you remembered how to do so from having taken these classes a few years ago—but when you were trying to take the test it was like your mind simply went blank.

Morgan sends you a few texts, letting you know she’ll be in town for a while, since she doesn’t have to worry about class for now. You still aren’t really sure what to think about the way she’s been acting, and when you go to bed it’s with what feels like a million questions spinning through your mind.

The next day….

You have the following choices:

1. Morgan volunteers to help out with cheer practice

2. You and Ella head over to Haley’s house

3. Something Else?

*Pen* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
