Byleth and some knights are chasing a suspicious dark mage through a cavern. The mage had been linked to several disappearances of local women, he had eluded capture from many skilled members of the Knights of Seiros. They follow the mages through the twists and turns of the cavern. They feel like they’re catching up when Byleth feels the rocky ground sink underneath her. Looking down she sees a square section indented in the ground.

A trap? This is a pretty clever trap, it blends into the ground well. He must of known where the pressure plate was, but to avoid that during a chase, that’s some presence of mind… Byleth thought to herself, she looks around the cavern for the trap, as they feel a light mist sprayed down from the ceiling. Byleth tries to cover her mouth to no avail.

Shit! Byleth gasped, It’s too late, I’ve already breathed it in! What's going to happen to us?

“No, cover your mouths!” One of the knights warned.

“What is this!?!” Another Knight worried as they inspected their bodies for any sign of effect from the mist.

“It seems we’re fine. We press on.” Byleth ordered, as she renewed her pursuit of the mage. The rest of the knights calmed themselves, following Byleth’s stoic example, as they renewed their pursuit. After following the twists and turns of the cavern, keeping their eyes peeled for the dark mage’s pathing, making ground on the robed man. As Byleth followed him into a dead end, the mage turned around, the panic finally setting in on his face as he was clearly surprised by their continued chase.

“But… T-the spell! Why didn’t it-“ the mage began, before Byleth cut him off.

“What did you do with the women?” Byleth asked.

“Blast, if that spell had… Nevermind. I’m not telling you anything, although I wish I could have added you to my collection…” The dark mage smirked

The rest of the Knights rounded the corner, grabbing the mage’s attention. He attempt to prepare a spell in a flustered panic, but could barely recite one syllable as an arrow found his neck. His spell fizzled as a gurgled cough came out of his mouth, soon to be silenced by Byleth’s sword, severing his head from his torso.

“Damn, we couldn’t find out about where the women are being held. At any rate, he’s been taken care of. At least no more women will be hurt or kidnapped by him.” Byleth greeted her battalion.

“What now, Byleth?” One of the knights asked.

“He wouldn’t tell us where they’re kept, so we’ll have to do a sweep of the hideout. We’ll send more patrols around this area to investigate.” Byleth explained

Byleth and the Knights scoured the hideout of the mage, finding various scrolls but nothing pertaining to the locations of the missing women. After finishing their search, they left for Garreg Mach, reporting to Seteth of their mission.

-

“We managed to track down the dark mage, but he wouldn’t talk. We were forced to kill him when he attacked out of desperation. We searched for the missing women, but found nothing in his hideout.” Byleth reported

“I see. I’ll have some patrols sent that way, searching the area for any locations that the women might be held. Good work Byleth, feel free to take some time off.” Seteth smiled

“Thank you, Seteth.” Byleth excused herself then left to join her knights.

-

“So, we have some time off after that mission.” Byleth summarized to her team.

“Great, we should relax at the sauna!” One knight suggested

“That’s a great idea, you coming, Byleth?” Another knight exclaimed

Byleth gave a faint smile and shrugged her shoulders, “Why not?”

They left for the sauna, relaxing and enjoying the heat. As Byleth changed into her undergarments along with the other female knights, she sat down in the intense heat, closing her eyes as she because to think of the strange mist that had showered them in the cavern.

What was the purpose of that mist? Surely it wasn’t just a distraction. It couldn’t be, I mean, why go through the trouble of setting up the trap, and knowing exactly how to avoid it so it would hit your pursuers, just to have it do nothing but spray them lightly with mist... But it’s had no effect at all so far… Byleth thought, the purpose of the trap still weighing on her mind. As she let her mind wander, she began to drift off, the fatigue from her long mission inviting her mind to join her body in drifting off. As she closed her eyes just for a second, she succumbed to the mounting fatigue of her duties as a professor and working for Lady Rhea. She woke up some time later, opening her eyes to see a wooden platform she was sleeping on, oddly warm like the sauna she was just in, as she sat up. Her vision began to focus in the steamy landscape ahead of her, as her eyes widened in shock as she gasped.

It's… The same sauna, only giant… Or rather, I’m just tiny… Byleth thought, able to stay calm due to her composed nature. She looked around and saw her fellow knights had also shrunk, and were a mix of panicking, shocked and asleep. She began her journey over to her allies, the distance now like crossing the monastery, as she heard the door open. She could only watch, as the ones to approach were…
