This choice: You call his bluff. Let him shrink the house.  •  Go Back...
Chapter #9

Bluffing?

    by: Unknown
"Well, tiny, it's your choice. One..."

You look up at the shrink ray, which you can barely even see focused, then at the vast plane of flesh that is Brandon's palm, and, while they intimidate you a lot, you decide to stay in place, sure that Brandon wouldn't go ahead with his threat of shrinking the house even further.

"Two..."

As Brandon says the next number, he moves his palm closer to his face, and you literally fall down, both out of shock at the enormity of Brandon's face and out of the speed at which he lifted his palm. He closes one eye in order to be able to see whether you have decided to step out of your house or not.

"I suppose you chose your own punishment. THREE!"

As he says this, he doesn't even take a moment to think before he pushes the trigger and lets you realize your huge mistake. Your own house is shrinking further than you did before you entered it. The plane of flesh gets bigger and bigger, and starts to fill your entire field of vision as your house reaches the height of 1 inch tall, and keeps on getting smaller.

"I don't see why you thought I was bluffing, Jake. I had already shrunk the house before, why wouldn't I be able to do it again? Admit it, Jake. I'm the truly victorious one, you're a loser."

The house was now 1/8th of an inch tall, and you were starting to freak out at the situation, unable to rationally think about what to do next.

"Well, Jake, I think I may stop now. Your inferiority is obvious at this point. And I have a lot of great ideas about what to do with you... But, then again, victory is mine and the house truly can ALWAYS get smaller."
