Finally deciding, Ruby wrote down she wanted a Universal Magical Remote.
She knew the remote worked, but still, as she wrote, she felt a little anxious. Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, she opened them to see a silver remote with a bunch of buttons on it on her bed. It took work to stifle her excitement, but she managed, though a huge grin was on her face.
“It worked!” Ruby gasped.
“What worked?” Came an annoyed voice.
“Nothing, Weiss!” Ruby stuck her head out of her top bunk bed to see her partner Weiss at her desk. “Just a game strategy.”
“Fine, just don’t be so loud please, I’m working on Oobleck’s essay,” Weiss replied. “You know, the one YOU need to work on.”
“Right… hehe.” Ruby slipped back into her bed and examined the remote.
There were so many buttons and while some made sense, she didn’t know what all they did. There would have to be some tests. Looking at Weiss, she had the perfect target. Weiss probably wouldn’t mind.
