Naruto quickly turned to the source of the voice and stood ready to defend himself against Anko. But upon seeing Anko, Naruto quickly relaxed his muscles. Naruto spent a fair chunk of his childhood in the Red-Light District and was mostly respected by the countless sex -workers and civilians that lived in the area. As a child, Anko would protect Naruto in the district, and would even allow Naruto to take walks with her in the Forest of Death, with her utmost supervision, of course. As a child, Anko was a surrogate mother to Naruto, in his earliest years before the Third Hokage granted Naruto an apartment building. After that, Naruto rarely saw Anko, and it pained him deeply. But now, Naruto was finally in the comfort of his surrogate mother. and Naruto was ecstatic. Immediately, Naruto ran over to Anko and hugged her tightly. "Anko-san!!" Naruto cheered jubilantly as he raced over to Anko and hugged her.
Anko had noticed the frantic Naruto running across the rooftops, while she was on top of one herself, munching on some delicious Dango. When she saw Naruto jumping and racing towards nowhere, Anko instantly got a feeling that something was up. After all, she did take care of Naruto for a while when the Third was still kicking. Her gut feeling propelled her to get up and stalk Naruto's movements from the shadows. Eventually, when Naruto fell, Anko quickly jumped down to greet Naruto. However, Anko knew something was wrong immediately. Naruto seemed to be more frightened and frantic than he usually was. He was tense, and NAruto looked as if he was scared of something. But Anko had no idea what was the underlying issue. However, when Naruto hugged Anko, Anko was really concerned. She hadn't been called 'Anko-san' by Naruto in over two decades. It was Naruto's nickname for Anko specifically when she was still caring for him. Anko knew that something was wrong, but didn't know how to proceed.
