A young woman in her 20s named Alice is cursed after unknowingly making an encounter with a bitter old witch. The curse doesn't take effect until hours later, at which point her affected body part/parts magically detach from the rest of her body. Her separated parts remain alive. She loses all feeling and control of her detached parts as they gain their own sentience.
The now sentient body parts having lost connection to the head that commands them soon become beings driven by pure instinct.

- Once a part has been detached, Alice can no longer feel or control it.
- All detached parts gain sentience eventually, but it doesn't need to be immediate.
- The Old Witch or others like her can undo the curse if they please, though they may choose not to.
- Though all detached parts are sentient, their ability to think for themselves will be limited. They will rely more on raw instinct.
