Xan led James to a small study lounge, running the handful of students alreadh there out with a hard look. She took a seat on one of the sofas in the lounge and directed James to take a seat at the other end.

"I have one question and one question only. Were you flirting with my sister just so she would protect you from the other monsters?" Xan asked. "Be honest!"
