"Hehe, hey Val, check this out!" Cindy said, her body pitching forward as her knees bent in the wrong direction. Cindy caught her fall with her hands, which she spun backwards along with her feet. Last, she spun her head around,her face twisted into a horrible grimace as she crawled towards you, coughing spasmodically and wailing like a banshee.
"Jesus, stop!" You said, backing away from your roommate as she skittered unnaturally towards you. Your back hit the wall before you noticed how far you'd retreated, and when Cindy pushed off from the ground, and when Cindy arched up her back at an impossibly angle, and made a sharp 'crack' noise with her mouth, you brought your arms up to protect your chest and face like a the useless first victim of any bargain-bin slasher movie. Shit, were your survival instincts that bad?
"Creepy, right? I look just like the possessed girl in 'Damned-Nation', didn't I?" Cindy asked, pushing herself off the ground and spinning her head, hands, and feet the right way around. You vaguely remembered the scene she was talking about, though you only caught shaky glimpses of it between your tightly wrapped fingers and Cindy rocking your shoulders side to side and giggling. You didn't handle horror like Cindy did. In fact, you didn't handle horror at all. It was too scary! "Aw, come on! I didn't scare you THAT bad, did I?" Cindy laughed, shoving your shoulder playfully.
"No!" You angrily responded, shoving her with far more force. Cindy landed on her hands and feet again, this time in an anatomically plausible position though one that would be extremely uncomfortable for someone with normal joints. She laughed, your outburst proving her point.
"Come on, it's terrifying, right? I sure hope it is, because I'm gonna prank some bitches tonight!" She announced, once more pushing herself back onto her feet.
"Prank? Who? How? Why?" You asked.
"Yes, prank." She responded, raising an eyebrow and smirking in that 'I'm about to be a smartass' way of hers. "Why, cuz it's fun. How, I think is pretty self explanatory. Although..." Cindy rubbed her chin, then allowed herself to fall backwards onto all fours once again, her knees going the right way this time while her elbows reversed themselves. "Maybe one of these potions will add to the creepiness factor. Make me bleed out of my eyeballs or puke worms or something." She said, crawling her way over to the cabinet which you had carelessly left open for your even more careless friend to abuse. Rushing over, you quickly slam the doors shut and locked it. "Aw, you're no fun!"
"Don't you remember the note? Mixing potions could be dangerous!" You said.
"No, the note explicitly stated that it could be unpredictable!" She said, surprising you with her memory and annoying you with her technicalities. "Besides, I'm not drinking some random concoction this time, I know what I'm looking for."
"My cabinet, my rules!" You say, shoving the key in your pocket and causing your roommate to groan. "Who are you even going to prank, anyway?"
