Was what that guy said true? Did Dr. Larson actually obey his every command now? He figured that this had to be some kind of prank that people were working together to pull on him.
Dr. Larson stood at her desk, reorganizing her papers when Tom walked up to her. She noticed him walking towards her, looked up, and smiled, clearly happy to see Tom.
"Hey master, what's up?" She asked him, talking awfully casually for someone who apparently happened to be under his direct control. "Need something from me?"
"No, sorry Dr. Larson, I was just wondering if you could explain why you actually listened to me and why you keep calling me master, I seem to have... eh... forgotten the details." Tom said, hoping that his shitty excuse would be enough to get her to actually tell him the truth.
"Master, you don't have to call me Dr. Larson, Lydia's fine. You can even call me servant or slave if you want, it's up to you." Dr. Larson said as she smiled at Tom.
"Oh, uh, yeah, sorry about that Lydia. Can you answer my question now?" Tom asked, still not convinced that Dr. Larson wasn't just playing a prank on him.
"Sure thing, master!" Lydia said, "You technically did get the answer to my question about the Cold War correct, you know, because the reason that I listened to you is that during the Cold War, the Soviets developed a type of serum that could bond someone to another person mentally without completely upending their personality. That means that the person affected would obey every command given to them by the person that they were bonded to, and they would believe that they truly wanted to do what was told of them to do."
Tom began to put the pieces of her story together.
"Right before classes started, I got my hands on some of the experimental serum to keep in my collection of historical artifacts, but as I was putting it on the shelf, the vial broke and I got cut with a piece of glass that had some of the serum on it. Because of this, I would become bonded to the next person I saw, even though I didn't actually realize that I had some of the serum in me. I walked into my office to get a bandage, and your picture was pulled up on my computer screen, as I was going through my class roster. I immediately became bonded to you, and when we met this morning, I was ready to obey any and all commands you had for me!"
Possibilities began to swirl around Tom's head. He wondered if she was actually being serious or if this, too, was just part of the prank that he suspected was being played on him. There was only one way to test it.
"Kiss me." Tom blurted out, not sure if it was the right call.
Immediately, Dr. Larson grabbed Tom's face, pulled him towards her, and gave him a juicy, passionate kiss. Tom was incredibly startled at the beginning, but decided to go along for the ride, embracing it, and giving just as much effort back as Dr. Larson was giving to him. After about 30 seconds, Dr. Larson pulled away, smiling from ear to ear.
"How was that, master? I was always told that I was the best kisser during high school." Dr. Larson said as she winked at him.
Tom now had no doubt in his mind that Dr. Larson was being serious about what she said. Tom was completely ready to use this newfound influence over his professor to his advantage, but first, he had to get rid of something that creeped him out a little bit.
"Lydia," Tom started, "In the future, could you drop the whole 'master' thing? Just call me Tom, it's more comfortable for me anyway."
"You got it mast-- oh, I mean, Tom!"
