“ Go join your new sisters” Victoria said with a kind smile. You slowly turn to leave “ oh one more thing Devon.” Her kind smile turned to a more authoritative one. “ This whole tomboy thing you have going for you is not gonna slide. It’s ok for tonight because you don’t know the rules but you have to start dressing like a A.P.O. That means no more lose fitting jeans, always have make up on and your hair presentable. We are the hottest girls on campus, and by we I mean you” she says pointing her finger right at you. “ Also have you every thought about getting some work one?My daddy is a plastic surgeon and he could definitely help you out” Victoria says and touches your chest
“ umm no thanks. I am afraid of surgery”you say timidly hoping that the conversation would end.
“ oh honey with modern technology there is no need for surgery any more let me call my daddy and see what I can do. Now run along” She shoos you out of the door.
You walk down the deserted hallway and you began to hear loud pop music
The closer you got to the door the louder the music became. You opened the door to a large room paint pink white and baby blue. You see four sets of bunk beds all with signs written in bubble paint with your names on them.
“ Devon’s here!” You heard Maddie’s familiar voice over the music and all the girls cheer at your introduction. Maddie then began to introduce you to all the girls. The party continued on until you finally got Maddie alone.
“OMG can you actually believe we are going to be APO sisters! This is like totally exciting”
“ no it’s not exciting! I am a boy I don’t want this!”
“ oh come on dev live a little”she said jokingly. But her smile quickly fades as she sees your serious you are she reaches down and holds your hand “ Devin I am so sorry but we have to play along I don’t want to go to jail. And what about your mom. How would she handle you going to jail. She has basically been a zombie since your dad died” you forgot about your mom. She had been so hopped up on medications and alcohol since your dad died that you going to jail may put her over the edge. She squeezed your hand as you looked up.
“...ok....” you say. Once again the girl you love is leading you into trouble.
“Hi I am Tawnya” you heard a voice behind you. You turn and see a short curvy redhead looking at you.” I am the pledge officer. It is my job to make sure all the new girls learn and fallow the rules. And you missy are not following the rules. “ the room gets quite “ and we will fix these problems or you all are getting demerits. Understand?” Everyone’s heads nodded. You look over at Maddie and she looks at you like a cat who I st caught a mouse. “ first we need to fix”
