Chikorita came right over to you and stared down at you with her huge red eyes. Her mouth was hanging open slightly, and you heard her murmur something. Then, to your surprise, she started to smile, and she leaned in closer.
“W-wait,” you said. “Stay back!”
Chikorita stopped and cocked her green head to the side, letting the leaf on top flop around. One of the green lumps on her neck extended out, revealing a long vine. You gulped as it approached—but then it started to gently stroke your head. You stared up at the Pokemon in confusion, while she kept petting you and smiling.
You were initially afraid she might try to squash you, perhaps mistaking you for some sort of tiny bug Pokemon. But now you could tell she was friendly—possibly because she realized you were a human, despite your size. Her petting was soothing, and you couldn’t help but smile.
By now, Jasmine and Leaf had both come over, and you saw them looming above you and Chikorita.
“What is it?” Leaf asked. She could see Chikorita toying with something small on the floor, but couldn’t tell what it was.
Chikorita’s vine stopped petting you, and moved downward. You sat still as it snaked around your waist and squeezed you, then lifted you off the floor. Your legs dangled, and you held on to the vine tightly with your hands. You tried not to get queasy as you were quickly lifted up and up, much higher than Chikorita’s head. The Pokemon also turned around and looked upward she kept raising you up. You realized she was giving you to her trainer, as you soon found yourself held close to Leaf’s face.
Leaf gasped as she saw the tiny human in her Pokemon’s grasp. She cautiously reached out with both hands held together, palms up, and Chikorita deposited you on her trainer’s hands. You sat there, shuddering a bit as the giant girl looked at you with wide eyes. Jasmine stood off to the side, and was staring at you with a similarly surprised expression.
Up until now, you’d been hoping to either get the attention of Jasmine or Leaf—but now both of them had found you. You just hoped they were friendly like Chikorita...
