You were training as a brawler when you were spotted by the chapter head of the most northern chapter of any of the orders of knights. A discussion between your trainer and the chapter head ends with you training to become a member of the Order of the White Lion upon your graduation. You now have earned the right to be addressed as Sir.
Upon graduation, you report to the Chapter House in Ayshaven, the northernmost city in the Kingdom. Ayshaven serves as a hub for the smaller towns and trapping settlements in the region.
The Order of the White Lion has the highest percentage of non-noble knights of all the KIngdom's knightly orders, and the Ayshaven Chapter is even more relaxed about such things, so you find no problems with the other knights. Well, there is the initial hazing all new knights must put up with, but you get through it and are now an accepted member of the chapterhouse.
You also do quite well with the serving wenches at the tavern the knights frequent. Hey, you're a knight, not a paladin. As long as it doesn't interfere with your duties, your chapter head allows a certain amount of wenching and carousing.
The only thing you wish was different is the fact that you're a landless knight with a non-hereditary title. But your present title opens the door to a world of opportunities. Who knows what the future holds for you?
