The Kind, Chubby Giantess

    by: ejones312 Author IconMail Icon
Name: Helga Fostrajotunn
Age: 415 years old (41.5 years in human age)
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Auburn
Height: 60' 10"
Weight: 500+ lbs.
Ethnicity: White/Caucasian
Backstory: Helga Fostrajotunn is a thick, chubby giantess who is blessed with a kind and nurturing side, especially towards creatures smaller than her hand and those who are younger than her. While most other giantesses prefer to indiscriminately devour and torture the tiny humans, Helga prefers to care and shelter the humans in her own home, which makes her an outcast among her own people. She works as her house's cleaner, cook, and gardener, but she does not mind the labor.

Main Story:
Jack was taken aback by the appearance of the giant woman standing at her doorway.

The giantess was pot-bellied, chubby around her arms, her legs, and her rotund face. She wore rags similar to the rags that his mother wore most of the time, including the white smock that was stained and dirtied by apparently long hours of labor. The rags dropped all the way to her leather-sandaled feet, caked and stained with dirt, especially in between her toenails and underneath her feet, seen as the giantess wiggled her toes. Her auburn hair, tied together in thick braids, was tucked underneath a rag wrapped around her head. Her eyes were as brown as the droughted dirt implanted around his house, and they gazed at him with surprise and childlike curiosity.

“By my word, can it be!?” The thick-bellied giantess bent down and quickly scooped up the tiny boy in her palm just before he could get away. Jack was caught in the giantess’s pillowy palm and struggled to move as he was lifted up into the air and up to her face. He got a better look at the giantess’s round, freckled face, her giant brown eyes brightened up in wonder.

“Why, it is! A little human boy has stumbled onto my home!” the giantess said marvelously, holding Jack to close proximity to her mouth.

The size of the giantess’s mouth frightened poor little Jack. The maw was like a cave deep under the sea, dark and wet where hardly any light shone inside its deeper darkness. Her tongue was like a giant pink serpent waiting for its next victim to devour, and the incisor teeth were the size of an executioner’s axe. Worse was the abyssal throat which led down to the boiling cauldron of the giantess’s stomach where her food dissolved underneath their burning juices.

“Please don’t hurt me, Miss Giant!” Jack begged, cowering in the flesh of her palm.

The giantess let out a hearty chuckle. “Worry not, my tiny friend, for I do not desire the taste of human flesh, not even to children such as yourself! I am Helga Fostrajotunn, a kindly giant from a faraway land of giants of myth! Who are you and what brings such a young one to my home?”

Jack was relieved to hear that the giantess was not partial to the taste of human flesh, and he opened himself up to his giant captor. "I am Jack, a poor and hungry boy from below the clouds. I was given magical beans from a strange man for my family’s cow, and over the night, the beans sprouted into a giant beanstalk that reached up into the clouds. My mother tasked me with climbing the stalk to pick the beans when I climbed through the clouds and beheld your garden and your castle.”

"I see," Helga listened with a nod. She reached her finger up, lifted Jack's shirt and gasped. "Why, you poor boy, you're nothing but skin and bones! Come inside. I will treat you to breakfast, but be warned, for most of my kin desires nothing but the taste of tiny young humans like yourself."

So Helga took Jack to her kitchen and treated him to breakfast as she promised. Placing him on the table, Helga served Jack crumbs of the previous night's supper which seemed like a feast for the village baron. A crumb of bread, a hunk of cheese, a slice of meat, and a thimble full of milk to wash it all down. As Jack was served a bit of honeycomb to add the sweet flavor of honey to his diet, the giantess watched him intently with curiosity, a motherly smile stretched across her rotund face.

"My goodness, you certainly were hungry, weren't you?" Helga inquired.

"Yes, Miss Helga," Jack said. "My farm was stricken by drought since my father's death, and we had to resort to eating our chickens who could not lay eggs. We had to sell my family's cow for profit, but I gave her up for the magic beans, and for that, my mother punished me."

"Punished you?" Helga parroted. She squinted carefully at Jack's youthful face and gasped at the sight of his black eye. "Oh, you poor dear! No mother should punish a child this way! I bet your mother also made you climb up the beanstalk in pursuit of riches rather than be concerned for the betterment of her own family!"

"It is no problem, Miss Helga," Jack insisted. "My mother worked to the bone to maintain our farm and she has ached her back. I am young and capable of handling arduous tasks myself."

"Now, that's enough. Even you must realize that your mother has replaced all of the love in her heart for he son with bitterness and greed." Upon the giantess's words, the reality of his mother's hard words and physical punishments made Jack fall silent. His will to feast suddenly dissipated like the moisture of his farm which led to the accursed drought. "You are loyal to your mother and you hold much love for her, but has she ever returned that love to you? When has she ever declared her love for her own son, despite how poorly your family lives? Any mother who puts their own needs ahead of their own children can never be a real mother to me."

Jack felt the weight of Helga's words descend upon him like her sandaled foot. He pushed away his thimble and honeycomb and curled his knees to his chest. He sunk his head inside his legs and began to cry. "Oh, Helga, you are right! What am I to do!?" he sobbed to the giant woman. "My mother's heart has hardened since my father's death, and the farm has fallen into disaster! We have no money, and soon the baron's tax collectors will be on our doorstep! Worst of all, my mother despises me because of it all, preferring if I had died instead of my father! Oh, Helga, what am I to do!? What am I to do!?"

The giantess's heart broke at the sight of the young human lamenting at his own woes. The saddened giantess placed her palm behind Jack and gently stroke his back with her thumb. "Oh, Jack, I am sorry for how your life has granted you an unfair boon," Helga cooed, "but weep not, for I may have a solution to your problem which will undoubtedly aid you in years to come."

After a sniffle, Jack looked up to the reassuring giantess with hope in his eyes.

"Really? Are you certain?"

"Yes, my child, and it shall make you happy above all else."

What was Helga's solution?

1.) Helga helps Jack with his family's financial troubles with her prized golden goose.

2.) Helga adopts Jack as her surrogate human son.

3.) Before Helga could help Jack, another giantess approaches!
