Under normal circumstances, a way to tell the difference between a male and female Shinx was their coloring on their back feet, A males back feet are the same dark color as the rest of its lower body, while a females is light blue, much light their upper bodies.
The way Mona Moon Found out hers was a male, however, was not so subtle. As she was looking him over the first thing that stuck out to her was his penis, which really caught her off guard, since she kinda assumed that such things would be less..... noticeable. It and the packages behind were pretty decent in size for the little guy as well.
She puts down the Shinx with a blush on her face saying "Sorry for that intrusion..." Though the shinx himself didn't seem to mind. Mona Goes through her things real fast "I wonder what your stats are..... heck, I wonder if you have a name." Pulling out the pokedex, she scans her Shinx and it pulled up information about him. "Heh..... probably should have done this instead of getting that personal about it." As she sat down and looked through the dex, it seemed that the Shinx had decent enough stats, had 4 different moves under its belt, but no name could be seen.
"Huh, Guess I didnt give you a name yet.... how about I change that...." She said to him, as he was sat next to her, looking at her with wonder in his eyes. "Lets see... how does Luke sound to you?" She asked him as she gave him a stroke across the back, to which the Shinx replied with a hearty "Shinx!", leaning into her and rubbing against her leg.
"Luke it is!" She said as she changed the data on her pokedex, making it official.
Mona goes to gather her stuff with the help of Luke, and has everything packed up, unaware of a sudden wave of an invisible force passing over them, and corrupting one of them during the process. Luke noticed and even Mona felt it, but she shrugged it off as mere wind but Luke looked around concern, not knowing what had happened.
Sighing in relief as there didn't seem to be anything immediate problems, Luke walks over to Mona who was just about to grab her back pack and head off.
