You decided that today was the day that needed to give Lulu a definitive answer. You yourself weren't completely set on what that answer was just yet, but you didn't feel it was right to keep her in the dark for too long. Thankfully, she had already given you her number, and you picked up your phone to give her a call. After ringing for not long at all, Lulu picked up.
"Hi Blaise, how are you doing sweetie?" Her friendly, faintly flirtatious voice greeted you on the other end of the receiver.
"Hi Mrs. McAl- er, Lulu!" You stumbled a bit over your words.
Lulu had insisted that you call her by her first name now, feeling your relationship was well beyond the formality of your school days, and it was still something you hadn't gotten used to. She clearly enjoyed it herself, as you heard a familiar giggle on her end following your little slip-up. You maintained your composure and continued.
"I'm doing great, thanks for asking! I don't have much going on today, no plans or homework to worry about, would you want to come over and have a chat?" You asked.
"Aww, getting lonely by yourself in that big house? Would you appreciate a little company from your favorite teacher?" Her playful tone made you blush slightly, and you counted your blessings that she wasn't there to see it.
"I'd be delighted to come over Blaise! You're lucky you called when you did, my schedule was wide open for today! I'll be over in about an hour. See you soon!" Lulu replied plainly, and hung up.
Lulu was on her way to your place, and one way or another, you'd be giving her a straightforward answer about whether you wanted her to be your girlfriend or not. You were nervous about confronting her for sure, but it only felt right to let her know how you feel in person. You began preparing for her arrival, your mind racing with the possible outcomes of the upcoming meeting.
