As soon as Judy dropped the gun, she had also taken a step back and hit her bed. This caused her a moment where she also fell backwards onto the mattress, launching her legs into the air just as the beam started to approach her. In that moment, Judy could feel the green bolt strike the soles of her feet. It was like she had suddenly been hit by a spark of static shock before the light vanished in an instant.
She laid there on the bed for a moment, dazed and dumbfounded that the item she had once considered a prop was actually armed and capable of shooting...Whatever that was out. Judy sat up for a moment to make sure that her feet hadn't been vaporized in the chaos.
She looked down at them dangling off the edge of the bed and breathed a sigh of relief. They looked perfectly unharmed and she flexed them to confirm that they were still working just fine. It was odd though that they strangely seemed a size or two bigger than usual. Though that thought quickly turned to concern as she watched them begin to swell.
"What on earth...?"
Her bedroom was filled with the sound of what sounded like fabric being pulled out tightly, only it wasn't clothing but the skin of her feet being tugged out as that part of her body began to grow. Her toes ballooned up as she clenched them. She could feel them getting larger as they surged forward into massive proportions, stopping only once they were double their normal size.
Judy was stunned as she stared down at her enormously sized feet, at least from her perspective. Cautiously, she lowered herself to the floor and found her balance had shifted as her feet took up much more space in her apartment. She stomped around a bit, careful not to trip over anything as she adjusted to the new difference in her body's makeup. It was like walking around with cement on her feet, something that she had the unfortunate experience of knowing firsthand. What had happened, she couldn't quite explain. Her feet had swollen to twice their usual size after being hit by the beam from the ray gun.
The pieces weren't quite put together yet as Judy's fascination with her bigger additions turned to fear at the sudden knock at her door.
"Everything okay in there?"
Judy jumped as she recognized the voice of the person that had come to her apartment, no doubt to check up on her after hearing her shriek and wonder aloud at her predicament. Momentarily, the gun remained forgotten on the floor as Judy tromped over to greet who was knocking.
