Violet looked over the rowdy women and sighed. "Let's settle this like rational adults and just let the little dude do his job and entertain us however he wants," she said sternly.
None of the other bridesmaids seemed up to any further protest or argument with Violet.
"Fine Violet," Susan seethed sadly, "But if I get bored, I'm making my own entertainment if you get my drift," she said finally sitting down and setting you aside on a table dismissively.
You shook off Susan's dismissive tone and the concerning words the majority of your party guests said about tiny guys and got to work. You were an assistant for a party planner, so you needed to show your worth here and now to Lilyana.
"Alright girls! I know you're here for a bachelorette party. We're missing the guest of honor, but that doesn't mean we can't start the party without her right?!" you cheered, mustering up all the enthusiasm you could. Some of the girls smiled, encouraging you.
You scrambled over to the control pad Lilyana had previously set up and flipped some switches and the room was filled with an array of lights and loud music.
"Alright little dude!" you heard Keeya cheer. But you weren't done yet.
"And I know the food and drinks aren't all set up yet, but flip open that cooler and we have the best self service bar you could ask for!" you shouted. Your words were swallowed up by the music, but made their way to Susan. Once she pulled out a bottle of wine and a bottle of tequila, the other bridesmaids cheered and followed her to the drinks.
Before long, the women were dancing and drinking happily. You felt proud of how you handled the situation. You had concerns about the women getting too drunk too fast or the music not matching Lilyana's theme for the party, but you pushed your worries aside and started to enjoy yourself as well.
