She'd done it. Amy "Rosy the Rascal" Rose had finally done it. She'd been studying up on magic for a while honestly, namely in pursuit of love through her tarot deck, but what she'd just begun dabbling into was proper magic. Stuff that could take her from a simple hedgehog girl with a knack for telling some fortunes here and there, to a magic wielding woman that could impress the people she adored... and maybe tell some more accurate fortunes as well. Well she hadn't exactly done it yet, but rather, she was about to open her entire world up to it.
Clutching the spell-book, there was a lot in there that she didn't quite understand. She'd found it in a strange tower that she assumed was most definitely abandoned (even if there wasn't as much as a single cobweb and a half empty glass of water on a table.) There was an entire ritual in the front pages, and while she hadn't read the whole book, but she figured if there were any warnings, they'd have come first after all.
Sat in her home, alone from any prying eyes, she'd set up a full on magic circle, runes etched in chalk, there were some strange ones here and there, talk of breasts, magical storage and whatnot. All these things she could ignore, as she got to work on the proper "Spell" of sorts, twisting her tongue in vague attempts to pronounce what was most likely a form of latin, the candles surrounding her burning brighter in the moment before changing their flames from yellowy orange to pink, burning brighter and brighter! Wind seemed to blow in the closed off room, and in a moment she hadn't quite expected, the flames pulled toward her, and in a climactic fwooshing, they launched from the wicks they were bound to into her torso, a strange warmth building in her chest.
"D-Did I do it? I-I feel really warm..." She didn't take much time to figure things out, as she felt the heat seeming to focus primarily on her chest, before fading into the background sensations of her clothing and vanishing from perception...
Had she done the spell wrong? She expected some other sensations, but it felt like a dud...
Alas, She had succeeded, but how much so? indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
