Kaidan said to himself, while scraping at the side of the box with his chopsticks. This was the 7th night in a row that Kaidan had ordered out food but of course always making sure that it was something different each night. Last night was Mexican, the night before Italian, and so on.
Kaidan had always been haunted by what had happened at BAaT when he had lashed out against Vyrnnus's abuse against him and the other students, but recently, he felt like he was in a dark pit. Much like the aftermath of when it all happened. Maybe the guilt was feeling wearing him down and eating away at him. But thankfully, Kaidan was finding solace in food.
Something about having a full belly helped lighten the cross he'd been carrying since he was a teenager. Of course that feeling of bliss was only temporary. After heading off into a food coma, Kaidan would wake up the next day feeling that gnawing feeling again. Luckily, he was able to withstand it till the end of the day where he would continue his food binge still he was absolutely stuffed.
And even though he was already getting painfully full, he thought it wouldn't hurt to have a bit more. Kaidan fell back into his sofa as he cradled his bloated gut. Although his binge eating was helping him cope with what happened the past it did have it drawbacks. Kaidan was feeling a little softer around his gut now, it was just a little padding so as along as he managed that it shouldn't be too bad...
All he needed to do was work it off anyway.
Kaidan felt the guilt melt away as the blissing feeling of being full began to take over his mind. He wasn't sure if this was actually healthy but damn did it feel good.
