Alexander Smith left the hospital, determined as ever to lead in spite of being shrunk.
He would however need to be carried out constantly, having shrunk to the size of a woman's thumb.
His carrier would be a woman, Jane Cooper. Many ambitious women volunteered, hoping to use closeness to the President/Prime Minister to advance their careers.
Jane Cooper's face beamed broadly at Alexander. "How are you doing?"
"As good as can be, given there's no cure to being shrunk!"
Alexander was on a table. Jane extended her hand and Alex climbed into her palm. Jane put him in her blazer pocket.
