You feel your new captress take a few steps before you hear the sound of her bag unzipping. You see the woman's giant hand reach in to grab you. In panic you try to dodge her grabby fingers but it's no use, they wrap around you with ease. As she lifts you out of her bag and brings you to her giant face you quiver in her closed fist with fear. She gently deposits you into her open palm.
"Hey hey don't be afraid I'm not going to hurt you." she says in a kind voice.
"Y-you're not?" you ask, surprised.
"No of course not! I just wanted to show you how beautiful the night sky is tonight so I decided to walk home with you in the palm of my hand so you can enjoy it too." she says.
I look up and see the stars glistening in the night with a full moon beaming down upon the quiet suburban street. For a moment I forget that I am only a few inches tall standing in the palm of a woman who bought me as if I were a pet for sale.
"Wow... it really is beautiful." you say to the woman. "I have always loved beautiful night skies."
"Isn't it though? I'm glad you appreciate things like this. Most guys think I'm just a nerdy loser for loving the stars so much." she says sadly. "But how could I not love them? We can see all the zodiac constellations tonight plus Orian's Belt! And even a bit of the Milky Way! And just think. The light we're seeing is thousands of years old!"
Despite being tiny, you can't help but smile a bit as the woman went on and on about the stars. You've always been quite the nerd yourself and you think it's cute seeing this woman geek out. She notices you smiling up at her in a fond manner and stops talking and blushes, causing you to blush too.
"A-anyways, I'm Carly. What's yours?" she asks getting a bit shy.
"I'm Sam." you reply.
"Well Sam, I suppose you are wondering why I bought you." says Carly.
"It's crossed my mind." you reply, sarcastically.
"Well basically, I don't have anyone in my life. I was an only child and my parents died in a car crash last year. Their life insurance payout allowed me to go to college and pay my rent. As I'm sure you've noticed I am a huge nerd so I don't really have many friends. So I decided to use some of the life insurance money to buy a tiny companion and you were the cutest that Jen had and around my age so I decided to buy you." explains Carly.
While you were flattered that Carly found you cute and glad that she seemed nice and even maybe the kind of woman you could be friends with, you weren't so keen on being her tiny pet.
"I'm so sorry all that happened to you Carly, but I can't stay small like this. Jen tricked me by giving me a spiked chocolate bar that shrunk me. That's how I got so small. She just wanted to shrink me so she could sell me to someone with lots of money to make a profit. In this case you." you say sadly.
"What? That's horrible! She told me that she just found them in the woods and wanted to give you all a home! That liar!" says Carly, angrily.
"And now I'm stuck like this forever!" you say holding back tears.
"Don't worry little Sammy. I'll take care of you" says Carly in a soothing way, petting your head. "I know this isn't ideal but your best chance is to stay with me. Who knows what another woman would do to you if she got her hands on you. I promise I will protect you and keep you safe."
You know deep down she is right and you slowly nod your head at her in agreement as she pets you.
"I'm glad you understand. Now let's enjoy the rest of the walk home under the beautiful night sky." she says.
You smile slightly as Carly continues petting you. Maybe staying with her wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.
