Thomas turns to see Katie grinning wildly as she bends and twists to fit through a much to small doorway. Thomas is shock as she must be 9 ft tall. She laughs as he turns to run. "Run run run, little Tom, your sister is coming." She teases her voice once again projecting from all around.
When Thomas ran the hallway expanded in both length and height as Katie laughed at him. He hears something large step behind him and he keeps running. A 2nd step, much bigger behind him. A 3rd step shakes the ground slightly but he doesn't stop. The 4th step knocks him off his feet, he looks back to see Katie's shoe larger than a house and although the ground still looked like the hallway her leg jetted upwards disappearing into bright white clouds high above. He then a showdow apeared in the clouds, it grew and the sky went dark. The sole of Katie's shoe breaks through the clouds. An impossibility large shoe bigger than a city coming down at upon him. It was pointless to run but Thomas tried anyways he turns and runs seeing shadow stretch on before him for miles. Her toe touches the ground a mile infront of him and the earth shakes sending him back off his feet. Helpless he sees her heel decending towards him and soon he is surrounded by darkness panting heavily.
Thomas was stuck in darkness scared, confused, and anxious when he hears a calming voice. "It's ok, your alright." Soon he feels a calm wash over him and he gets a warm peaceful feeling flowing through him. He relaxes as he feels his hair being stroked and he opens his eyes to see Katie rubbing his head as it layed in her lap. "See your ok," she announced happily. Thomas sighed, had been a few months since Katie got weird powers. She kept them secret from most people but she revealed it to Thomas and some of her friends. Usually she just wanted to show off the cool stuff she could do but an unfortunate side effect of her powers was that she didn't need sleep, which ment she sometimes gets antsy during the night.
"You know your supposed to stay out of my dreams." He states trying to sound annoyed.
Playing against his attempt to be mad she stroked his hair while she removed fearful and angry thoughts while adding calm and peaceful. They both knew this took any want to fight out of him which is why Katie had no quarms about entering his dreams uninvited.
He looks up at her who smiles playfully down at him. "You know it's daytime in Europe," he reminds her.
"I don't have money, it's not like sunlight means there's stuff to do."
"Really? Walking around Paris or London sounds much better than tormenting me in my sleep."
"Well it's your fault, you're the one who was dreaming about me being an annoyance."
Thomas sighed again, "sorry but it's not like I can control my dreams." He knew that Katie's power fed off people's thoughts about her although he didn't really understand it. "So you weren't messing with me all night?"
"Nope," Katie confirms, "After you fought with dream me in the living room I decided to cut in."
Thomas was starting to feel more awake so he sits up, he suspected Katie gave him extra energy so she didn't need to be up alone. "So you hungry? " he offers.
"Always!" Katie says happily, Thomas knew Katie didn't need food with her powers but she still loved to eat for the taste. "I know a nice brunch that I wanted to try in New York!" She suggests happily.
"How much is it?" Thomas asked skeptically. Katie said she can't create money cause it could impact the economy so she always made him pay and when someone could go anywhere they want sometimes their tastes got expensive. On the bright side since she revealed her powers Thomas did get 2 promotions and better hours at his job.
She told him the price and he agreed to go. "Ok let's get you dressed." She said raising her hand.
"No, get out." He said pointing. He let Katie get away with a lot but her making cloths appear on him wasn't one of those things. After they had a light meal Katie teleported them each to their rooms to act like they just woke up.they saw their dad off to work and their mom forgot to make them breakfast before heading off to run errands. Thomas always assumed Katie had something to do with little coincidences like that but he wasn't certain. Now that the day was in full swing...
