The Electric Mouse focused on changing something else while remaining a Pikachu, and after a few moments of trying to change something else, nothing happened.
"I guess, that's it," sighed Pikachu, then she looked at Ash, and asked, "What now?"
"Now, we wait for Celebi," said Ash as he sat down with his back against a tree.
Pikachu nodded, sat on Ash's lap, and made herself comfortable.
Ash blinked at Pikachu's choice of seat, but she remained content where she was. He shrugged and took out the book from the bag. He placed the book on Pikachu's lap and opened it.
"Fascinating, the language matches those found in ancient ruins in many regions," commented Dexter as he floated over Ash's shoulder, then he floated in front of Ash, and asked, "How did you come across it?"
Ash explained how he acquired the book, but he also explained what he learned so far from the book.
"So, this weird evolution is somehow tied to Aura, and you might develop Variant-like powers in the future," summarize Pikachu, and Ash nodded while Dexter took some photos of the pages. She shrugged, and said, "I still don't get how humans can put so much meaning into those squiggly lines."
Ash was about to say that writing wasn't all that impressive, but he stopped to think about it.
"When you say it like that, it sounds really strange and impressive," replied Ash, then he chuckled, and elaborated, "I mean, someone had to come up with the idea to make a bunch of symbols, which meant something, and put them together to mean something else."
"You humans are weird," said Pikachu with a smile.
"I guess we're," said Ash with a smile as he pulled Pikachu closer.
Ash spent the next few minutes reading the book, Dexter took photos whenever a page was turned, and Pikachu just relaxed on Ash's lap.
"I see you guys are having fun," said Celebi as she approached the trio while floating.
"How did the meeting go?" asked Ash as he closed the book, and placed it in his bag.
"It went fine, we can try to bring back your team," said Celebi, then she looked at the trees, and asked, "So, how do you wanna do this?"
Dexter, Pikachu, and Ash looked at where Celebi was looking to see who she was talking to.
