Billy’s instinct to get out seemed like the best option. In a dash he ran to his left. Billy had sprinted maybe fight steps before he tripped and fell. Struggling to keep his panic down Billy realized his pajama pants had become obscenely loose and had fallen around his ankles. Not thinking, Billy started kicking and struggling to get out of the pants
“HHHMMMMMM!” the sound rumbled through the air. The ground creaked and groaned. Billy stopped what he was doing and saw his Mom rise off the bed which also groaned as if in relief that she was getting off of it. The giant was so tall…it was like approaching a three story house or something. Billy saw his mom like he would see a building. She still hadn’t seen him…or so Billy thought. With two more jagged movements he was free of the oversized garment and was running again…
The door to the closet was right in front of him. Billy thought about slowing down and squirming his way through the slightly ajar door. But would that take too long…could he still make it out into the hall?
