Chapter #7Dangerous encounter with the Insect Hashira by: Devious   ”What the….?!”
You wake up in darkness. The dark night sky can be seen above past the trees around you. You look around to see that you’re in the middle of a dark forest. Everything feel different, you feel…..hungry.
Then, you remember. You remember the horrifying presence and the face of that demon. You remember him simply giving you a simple scratch and then…nothing.
As you look yourself over you can see your body looking a bit different, more pale perhaps?
“Aaaarghhhh!”
Suddenly, a roar sounding scream can be heard not far from you. Fighting your fright, you move towards the agonising screams with trembling steps. Soon you come across a bizarre scene.
A man is laying on the ground with severed limbs, screaming in utter agony. A sandalled foot is planted on his chest. A foot belonging to a pretty girl with blue eyes and blue and black hair. She appears to be in her late teens. She hold a small bloodied almost dagger-like sword in her hand as she grins down at the man below.
“P…please! M…make it STOP! Make it stop you damn bitch!”
“Ara, so rude! If you had some manners, then I probably would have put you out of your misery by now demon!” She says as she gives a few stomps to his already severed and clearly pain stricken body. “Although, that poison inside your demon veins is sure to do the job shortly”
“Damn you! I….It’s not my time yet…you b…brat! I was supposed to become one…argh!” Before he can finish his sentence, the girl pierces her sword into his throat and replaces his words with spurts of blood coming from his mouth.
“I would have chatted more with you demon, but it would appear I have another one of you to deal with…..” With that, her head turns and her gaze falls directly onto your eyes.
You almost fall over from how startled you get. As you stare back into her eyes, a smile is plastered on her lips, however instead of a warm smile it’s actually a unnerving one which creeps you out a bit.
The man below the girl makes his final painful grunts as his whole body seems to shrivel together and he lays there motionless.
“Well hello there young man! It’s not very.l nice to peek on others you know!” She says, her smile never leaving her face.
“Uhm…..f…forgive me….I didn’t mean to. It’s just…that I just woke up here and I don’t really know what’s happening….”
“What is happening Demon, is that I will be disposing of you shortly! Or maybe you’d wish to become friends instead?”
“Wh…..Demon? What do you mean, I’m not a…..” The realisation hits you hard. You now remember the red eyes and terror you saw before you passed out earlier. Demons……are real, and you’ve….become one!? That must explain the extreme hunger you’re currently feeling.
“Don’t worry demon, If you cooperate I can promise it won’t be to painful!” A sadistic giggle leaver her mouth.
You look at the girl in front. There is no denying she is one of the prettiest girls you’ve ever seen before. She also gives of a strong sense of sheer power and you doubt you could do much to her if you tried to fight her. Not that you ever would. Demon or not, you’ve always been a very introverted and submissive guy, and hurting a pretty girl would never even be an option for you, no matter how hungry you get.
Barely able to keep yourself from breaking down, you fall to your knees and plead for you life.
“Please miss! I swear I don’t know what’s going on! If it’s true….if I’ve become one of these things…..then I swear I’ve never hurt anyone and that won’t do so either! P please spare me!”
She raises one of her eyebrows in surprise. “Ara? It’s not very often I have a demon bowing before my feet. Maybe you are different eh? But be that as it may, the reality is that all you demons will end up the same. Your hunger will take over and you will hurt innocent people. It doesn’t matter if you tell yourself different or not”
“No! Please ma’am! I’ll do ANYTHING!” Without thinking, you bow your head even lower and start to pathetically kiss her feet.
Shinobu can’t help but to laugh at your pathetic display. “Oh how pitiful you are. To want to live so badly that you would present yourself to an enemy in such a matter…..pathetic”
She looks between her sword and down at you with a smug grin for a few seconds, before replying to you…..  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
