In the small town, the street is bustling full of different people from different class to jobs. There are children playing in the street a game of hide and seek as one of the child hide inside of the barrel as the other look for him. Also in the town a group of young cowgirls threw a drunk miner out of the saloon as they laugh, and many people either going to work or buying food when they spot a wagon catch everyone attention when it stop at the edge of the road. Everyone near to the station look at the wagon with the sign being called ‘ Dr.Holly Medical show!’
Out of the puff of smoke that make everyone coughs, there was a 30 year old woman with short black curly hair, top hat, black suit, and a silver cane with a silver rattlesnake head on top of it.
With a smile on her face, she greet everyone as she start the show with some music of the Fiddle. And her name was Holly Fitzpatrick. “ Hello everybody, welcome to my show. My name is Holly, and I’m here to give you a something that will change your entire life,” said from her with a smile.
Everybody is very confused of what she is talking about, so she walks toward an old woman with gold tooth as she point him with her cane. Then she said,” Like you ma’am!”
The old woman get even more confuse when she said,” What do you mean?”
Walking back to the wagon, Holly grabbed a bottle full of mysterious fluid that also have a design of a rattlesnake on the bottle as Holly said,” Why give you medicine that will cure everything my good woman. I can see that you have red fever!”
Everybody look in horror as they take a step back from the old woman as she have a huge concern on her face. “ How do you know that I have it,” said the concern woman.
“Isn’t it obvious, the eyes turning a darker color. ( Make her look at the sun making her closer her eyes.) Being sensitive to the lights. Ma’am, have you been having stomach problems?” While she is checking her pulse on her wrist.
Now sweating all over his body, she said that she is feeling bloated since morning as everybody scream knowing that they could have catch it when the woman said,” Ma’am, what will happen to me!”
With a frown on her face, she said,” In a few days, the symptoms would get worse until you pass away.” Fearing that she would die in a few days, she asked her that isn’t there anything she can do to prevent her fate from happening.
Holly with a smirk on her face, she stand up strait with the bottle and said,” Don’t worry ma’am, this remedy will cure you in no time. It usually cost 4$ ( 122.13$ today money) But seeing that you need it, I will give you a discount dropping it by 50% since I’m a good person.” The woman quickly buy the product as she said thank you, and out from the crowd a women with her child when the mother said,” How easily can you catch this disease, my child was near to her when she coughs.”
Putting on a fake frown, she said,” Sorry to say this, but the disease very contagious, but help everybody in this town, I will give you all discounts so that everybody can have the miracle medicine. Didn’t I mention that it was improve by the government as said on this real sticker.” The sticker is slipping off as she slap it back to it place, and soon many people are buying the medicine from left to right. Making a lot of cash, she would quickly pack her things and ride across the lands as her pet donkey with the people from the town saying goodbyes to her.
Far from the town, she would laughs as she count every single dollar when she said,” Ha, that was easier than shooting fishes in a barrel. And I didn’t even have to paid one of them to fake a illness to do it. ( The donkey just roll his eyes) Come on, it’s how things work around in these part of towns. Back to business, I heard that there a easy picking in a big town a couple of miles, but how to get there is the question. I could travel to the right path into the Indians territory and try to scam them for the items they carry. Or I could travel though the canyon for the faster route; however, I heard there been bandits on the route. And finally, pass through the small town. Sure, I did scam them when I sold them a powder that should repel all of the coyotes, but since it was 2 years ago and with a good disguise. I’m certain I can scam them again, what do you think?
