James finally made it back to the safety of his dorm room and threw his bag aside so he could get a better look at himself in his mirror. Sure enough there were two wet spots on his shirt and it looked like they were bigger spots now than before. James took his shirt off next and everything seemed pretty standard. James lifted his hand up to his nipple and pressed around against his chest and got the shock of his life, a little liquid squirted out of the tip of his nipple. Pressing again didn’t produce the same result, but James’s mirror had collected the liquid as a thin line of some liquid now rest on the mirror surface. James started to panic a bit as he continued prodding around his chest moving between his left and right nipple, a second stream shot out of his other nipple again splattering against his mirror. While the large releases of liquid had died down a few drops formed on the tips of his nipples as he continued prodding the liquid looked a little yellow, and a little cloudy. James was now in full panic mode. What was going on? Why was he leaking some fluid?
James paced back and forth in little fits of panic as his mind raced on possibilities. Things aren’t supposed to leak out of your body, James new that much at least. Should he call a doctor? Should he call his mom and say something like, “Hi Mom, your son is leaking something from his nipples, how are you doing today?” No, that didn’t seem like a good idea. Not yet anyways. Maybe a quick internet search will do for now. James opened up his laptop on his desk and typed in “leaking fluid from nipples” the first page of results were all for new mothers who may leak milk after having their baby, this wasn’t going to help. James added some additional search keywords “+male +spontaneous”. The first link on the page was about men who had induced lactation to feed a baby. James read through the article and saw a warning: “Please note: inducing lactation in men is not recommended. Side effects include: breast pain, breast growth, distribution of fat to traditionally female patterns, sterility, and decreased sexual function. Men should not allow children to nurse at the nipple as this is a signal to the human brain to produce the hormones required to produce milk.”
James put his head into his hands, he had done just that with Mark. James had thought nothing of it though, how could he have known that it would start him making milk! James’ mind was now on a loop of expletives as he furiously searched for ways to stop what was happening. Site after site only cautioned against ever starting, nothing about how to stop if you had mistakenly started. James was at his wits end, he was going to have to come clean to someone so he could get help. So he decided to call…
