Robin was kneeling next a pond just outside the camp, washing his face hoping that could wake him up, so he cool finally see if his friend had just lost their minds or if this was in fact a very odd dream.
"Okay, I'm still waking up, still waking up" the tactician told himself as he continued to wash his face.
"Slash, stab, slash, stab!" a familiar voice shouted next to, right now Robin didn't want to deal with any Shepherds but he found himself looking up and seeing Lon'qu in the distance, cutting or trying to cut some apples hanging from a branch, why was the usually quiet swordsman just yelling his own movements? Robin had no idea why but he supposed it could have something to with everyone acting so strange.
"N-no, you're not supposed to do it like that!" Nowi yelled at the swordman as she appeared at the scene, and as it had become common this day, she wasn't wearing her own clothes, instead she Was covered in a cloack that practically covered her head to toe, a big contrast to her usual more...risque attire.
"But doing like you told me to is so boooring!" Lon'qu answer as he kept flailing his sword around the branches, "I want to do that cool sword trick you for Olivia! You did like slash! And the you cut the jar in half, and you didn't spill anything!"
"That technique is too advanced, it takes a lot of time and patience to master it, qualities you clearly don't have!" the manakete said as she tried to wrestle the sword out of his hands.
"Nuh uh, I'm super patient, It's just that I want to do something fuuuun, like playing swordsman!" Lon'qu shouted as he hold onto the sword.
"Being a swordman is not a game, woman! Now give me back my sword before you get hurt!" Nowi said as she tried to tackle him.
"Nope!" the not so quiet swordsman managed to dodge the girl's attack, a d just to add insult to injury, he grabbed the cloak's hood and pushed, removing it and leaving the girl exposed in her usual attire.
"Ahhhhhh!" Nowi screamed as she tried to cover herself, her face bright red as tried to recover her cloak, "Give that back, it's not a toy!"
"You want it? Then jump for it!" Lon'qu smiled as he moved the cloak away just when the girl was inches away from it, doing it again and again, the game reach it's peak of cruelty when he hold cloak above his own head, so far below the girl that she wasn't even close to reach it whenever she jumped.
Robin blinked as he saw those two's one-sided match, and then proceed to keep splashing water on his face, trying to wake himself up from this clear nightmare, but after a few minutes of repeating the task and looking back to the pair he noticed those two were still fighting over the cloak, with Nowi still not finding a way to compete against her rival's superior height.
"What's going on?" Robin asked himself as he tried to ignore his two friends, walking back into the camp, now he really needed to find Chrom, hopefully he would know what was going on.
---
Robin finally made his way back to camp, he had no time for another small detour he just had to wake Chrom up and see if they could fix whatever had afflicted their friends.
But just as he was walking towards Chrom's tent, Robin just had to run into another his friend, another friend that was afflicted by this oddness curse, Maribelle, and following in her predecessor's footsteps, she wasn't wearing her usual outfit, well she was but it looked completely different, there was no trace of the once elegant white shirt nor the pink corset, now all that remained was a tattered piece of white cloth covering her chest, her riding pants weren't in a good state either, now full of holes and covered in mud, the only piece of her clothes that remained the same were her boots.
"Ma-Maribelle? What happened to you?" Robin asked, feeling he was about to faint, there was no way the pompous troubadour would ever wear something like that, what was going on with his friends?
"Heya Robin, you like the Vaike's new look? I mean my new look?" she answered, flexing her flimsy arms, as if Robin should be in awe of seeing such arms, "Yeah I know, you're impressed!" she smiled to herself as she continued to flex, "I modelled myself after good ol' Teach"
"Teach? You mean Vaike? Did he do this to you? You lost a bet or something?" Robin asked, not expecting the local fighter to be so cruel.
"Nah, haven't lose a bet yet...at least not with her, but now that you brought it up, I betcha I'm stronger than you!" she showed off said non existing muscles once again, extending a hand to Robin, "I bet a silver axe that I can lift a trunk!"
"A silver axe? Are you sure you can use one of those?" Robin stroke his chin as he imagined the troubadour trying to lift that kind of weapon, at leas she wouldn't be able to miss it like certain fighter.
"You uncouth ruffian!" a loud voice echoed behind Maribelle, startling her as started to shake, inexplicable running past Robin as if her life was in danger, when she saw who was behind her, he started to understand why she was scared, now standing where she had been moments ago was Vaike, but like her he wasn't wearing his excuse for an attire, now he was actually wearing clothes, a coral coloured shirt with elaborated white designs, with a white jabot tied around his neck, this was combined with dress pants made up an attire that didn't fit the fighter's hulking physique nor his simple personality, "How dare he! He dare he destroy my refined looks!" he shouted as he walked pass Robin, completely ignoring the tactician as he continued chasing Maribelle.
"Chrom!" Robin yelled as he now started running to the tents, if so many of their friends were acting so weird, did that mean their leader was also affect? Robin hoped not.
