Drif paced back and forth, gnawing on her thumbnail, wracking her brain for solutions, when suddenly...
Melona's eyes snapped open!
"Mel!" Drif cried, tears pricking the corners of her eyes, "I thought I killed you!" She tackled Melona into a hug right as the girl sat up, relief flooding her system, "Please tell me you're okay!"
"Don't worry, Drif..." Melona said, gently stroking her friend's hair, "I feel fine. In fact... I feel really good... What was that potion you gave me?"
"It was supposed to stimulate your mana and make you more like what you want to be and... stuff." Drif muttered, releasing her grip on Melona and settling next to her on the bed, "B-but are you sure your okay? No side effects???"
"I feel more than okay, Drif." Melona smiled, looking her friend in the eye. Drif blinked, looking into Melona's deep, sparkling green eyes... Weren't they supposed to be blue...?
"Out of curiosity..." Melona started, sounding strangely seductive, "What was that potion made out of...?"
"Oh, um..." Drif squirmed in place, feeling pinned under Melona's gaze. "I used a dragon-bone broth as a base, and then added felroot a-and... Um... Wow, you're really close..."
"Sorry..." Melona smiled, "It just... It feels like I'm seeing you for the first time... How have I never noticed how cute you are...?"
"C-c-cute!?" Drif exclaimed, flushing. She tried to scooch away from her friend, only to let out a squeak as Melona placed one of her hands on her thigh. "M-m-mel??? What are you doing???"
"They're so soft..." Melona purred, squeezing gently, and Drif felt a twinge of excitement between her legs. "So, about that potion...?"
Panic began to build in Drif. This wasn't right. Melona was never this forward with anyone. And why was she so curious about the potion? But on the other hand, hadn't Melona confided in her a desire to be more confident? Wasn't this what Melona wanted? What should she do? Should she do anything? As Drif tried to figure this out...
