This choice: Drastic changes follows, and Robin's body is now the perfect vessel for Order. • Go Back...Chapter #17Vessel of Harmony by: Eln The transformation began subtly as the golden tendrils wound tighter around Robin’s dream body. Stelle began to ascend in the air, continuing to sing within the chorus. Her form shimmered within the glimmering haze of the Harmony, caught in a state of suspension as if caught between waking and dreaming. What had begun as a faint glow now ignited the trailblazer into an overwhelming blaze, cascading within her like liquid sunlight. Each pulse of the Harmony’s light seeped deeper into her being, dissolving what can't be harmonious. The change is promised to be drastic, as this body will become the vessel of "Harmony".
Robin’s dream body twisted unnaturally as the Harmony’s influence grew. The lavender hair that had been a symbol of her individuality takes on a metallic sheen, strands fusing into filaments of gold and silver that sway unnaturally as if moved by an unseen force. Her face, once soft and human, was stretched and reshaped, becoming almost mask-like in its perfection, with a sharp and precise pure white symmetry. Her eyes glowed with the radiance of the Harmony, golden and swirling with infinite patterns, as if the Harmony itself stared through her.
The transformation wasn’t merely physical; it was a rewriting of her very essence. Memories unfurled in golden threads, pulled apart and rewoven into the collective consciousness of the Harmony. Her past joys and struggles were no longer her own but became shared echoes within the vast Order. Yet, fragments of who she had been resisted—shards of individuality flickered faintly against the tide, like stars swallowed by a supernova. These remnants were insignificant against the sheer force of the Harmony’s will. Stelle was now many.
The process accelerated. Robin’s physical form in the dreamscape was stripped of its natural color and texture, replaced by a surface that gleamed like polished pale gold, flowing and alive. Her limbs elongated slightly, their motion taking on a fluid grace, as if no longer constrained by human anatomy; the thing is less and less human, after all. Golden lines traced intricate patterns across her skin, pulsing and shifting, reflecting the unseen rhythm of the Harmony. Her voice, still singing, was no longer singular but a chorus, each word resonating with countless other voices. She finally stopped, asserting her new allegeance.
“I am not one. I am all,” the voice declared, neither Robin’s nor Stelle’s but something greater and far more otherworldly.
The golden tendrils began to retract, not back into the Harmony/Order but in the vessel itself. Robin’s dream body no longer appeared human but stood as a luminous figure, a being sculpted by the Harmony itself. She radiated an otherworldly presence, as if the dreamscape had given her form a divine purpose. Her movements were precise and deliberate, as if choreographed by an unseen force, the chorus of Ena.
The transformation’s effects spilled beyond the dreamscape. Robin’s physical body in the waking world, where Stelle’s essence had fled, began to react violently. The golden glow seeped into the skin, veins shimmering with a subtle unearthly light. Her heartbeat slowed to a new rhythm, synchronizing with the pulsing tendrils. Her body convulsed, her fingers clawing at the air as though grasping for something just out of reach. The tendrils then retracted, leaving the form of Robin in the dream bath nearly unchanged. Only a bit of golden light from her veins betrayed the true nature of the songstress. This, and the golden empty gaze that she did when her eyelids opened
As the synchronization between dreamscape and reality completed, the entity was now able to move in both worlds. Robin’s transformed body became a focal point for the Harmony. It moved without hesitation, animated not by Robin’s mind or Stelle’s will but by the collective force that now animated it, responding to the name "Stelline", the only residue of what was there before. Robin's body in reality raised a hand, and the air around it shimmered, rippling as though reality itself was assaulted. Small golden fractures appeared in the wall in front of her, small but only because Stelline wanted it to be small.
And yet, Stelle was not totally dissolved. Somewhere deep within the Harmony, Stelle’s presence lingered, like a fragile droplet in an infinite ocean. Though her voice was faint and her essence diffuse, it resisted total assimilation. It was not enough to undo anything but enough to create a ripple, a tiny discordant note within Stelline. The ripple passed through the newly synchronized being, causing a brief hesitation—a flicker in its glowing eyes, a faint stutter in its movement.
But the Harmony quickly reasserted itself, muting this dissonance. The synchronized being—this new entity born from Robin’s body, Stelle’s power, and the Harmony’s will—began to act. For now, the entity remained focused on stabilizing its connection between both worlds. It was testing the boundaries of its newfound abilities, drawing energy from the dreamscape and projecting it into reality, via Robin's body. It still carried the echoes of Stelle’s power, twisted by the Harmony into tools of expansion. It could feel the minds of others—March’s and Robin's, with which she connected before as Stelle, and others further away, in reality or in dreamscape, ready to be assimilated in Harmony.
The transformation was complete, but the entity’s purpose was only beginning. It moved with an unsettling yet otherworldly grace, its golden form glowing brighter as it prepared to act. Whatever plans the Harmony had for this vessel, they promised to be devastating. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
