"Cool!" says Josh on seeing himself in the mirror. You are still puffing a little from hauling your fat 500 pound self up the stairs, but Josh vaulted up them without pausing - you think maybe you need some more muscle and a fitness adjustment to better haul around your own new fat self.

Josh continues, "Now let's weigh in - if that scale is strong enough for us?"

"Oh yeah," you reply casually, "Mum bought it for Dad when he outgrew regular scales - it's a kind of freight scale, it goes to 1000 pounds!"

"Wow!" says Josh, "how big IS your Dad?"

"About 370 or so," you reply, "smaller than we are."

"Yeah!" says Josh, and steps onto the scales. Now, did his wish take him up to 550 pounds? Or did it add 550 pounds to his previous weight? When the scales' numbers blink up, does Josh see....
