This choice: Flee!  •  Go Back...
Chapter #5

Run away, Rrun away.

    by: tecnopup82
The lioness turns her head to see where you pointed.
Now, is your chance!
You run as fast as your legs can carry you across the beach towards the woods, thinking that perhaps you could lose her in there. The woods seem to be far away but they are your only chance to get away with just your skin.

faster , faster you tell yourself.

The woods are getting closer now and you run even fast than before. Your arms and legs pumping in blur of motion. You don't look back for fear of the lioness catching up to you. You try to stay totally focused on getting yourself away fast as you can but fatigue is starting to set in.

the woods are now about 25yards ahead of you

20 yards!

15 yards!

you jump a large rock in your path, and another one.

10 yards now you start to feel you lungs start to ache and your arms and legs grow tired. Sweat drips down in to your face and glistens off your back.
there's another large rock in the way you jump and ...
suddenly you feel like you got hit by a freight train. Claws dig into your back. you scream out in pain as you hit the ground hard and skid to a stop on your stomach painfully. You look up towards the woods seeing that you are about 3 yards shy of entering them and gasp in despair

You feel the claws retract and the weight on your back leave. You turn around and lay your back to face your capturer, wincing from the pain coming from your back.

The lioness giggles looks down at you and says “Oh, that was fun! I just love it when my prey tries to get away it just makes the meat taste that much sweeter, don’t you agree ?"

"Pr- prey?" you say.

"Yes, you ran and I caught you, therefore that makes you my prey", she retorts and starts to giggle again.

" Prey!" you say.

You lay there in total confusion not comprehending the situation and totally freaked out by not only seeing a lioness that not only looks human but is talking to you and telling that you are her prey.

"Prey." you say again " that means you are going to eat me?"

The lioness smiles and starts to giggle even more ," Well , you didn't think that I would let you go after I worked so hard to run you down, did you? If I wanted that I could've just let you run into the woods and be eaten by the dragons in there."
"yew-you cant eat me." you stammer and then your already confused mind grasp the last thing she said.
"Dragons!!" you exclaim "there is no such thing as dragons " and there shouldn't be any thing like you either you think to yourself.

"Yes I can and will eat you. don’t be silly of course there are such things as dragons, I saw my own best friend eaten by one."

"But there cant... Where the hell am I then?"

"you are on my home island where that it is from where you call home I have no idea."

"but..."

Se sighs “Now be silent I don't like having conversations with my meal before I devourer it."

you shut up and start trying to think of a way to get out of this mess your in. The woods are just 3 yards away, surly you can sprint there but you are still feeling out of breathe, so you doubt you could make it even if you tried because you know that the lioness would catch before you even get to first of the trees, yet if you could distract her long enough than maybe you could get away.

so what is it......

You have the following choices:

1. stay and accept your fate

2. try to run again
