This choice: He is okay, but trapped and needs our help!!" • Go Back...Chapter #10Mike in Peril by: Froakie   The two children rushed across Frank's table in the basement as they thought surreptitiously about their brother. After everything they had been through, Ben wouldn't allow his brother to be killed. He just wouldn't.
As the kids rushed over, Dana was still playing around with Frank's things. As she did this, she suddenly stopped a moment, like a deer who notices an oncoming car. She froze, looking down at her little 'bugs' rushing across the table.
"OH YOU GUYS!!" She said playfully, wagging her finger at them, "YOU SURE DO LIKE PLAYING AROUND THEIR ON THAT TABLE, HUH?!?" As she spoke, a loud growl was heard emitting from the kids giant mother. Dana brought her hand down and rubbed her stomach a bit.
HEY!! WAIT A MINUTE!! HEH HEH. . I THINK EARLIER I SAID I'D TAKE YOU TO THE KITCHEN TABLE!! I THINK I MUST HAVE HAD FOOD ON MY MIND!! WELL, LOOK!! YOU GUYS UNDERSTAND ME WELL, RIGHT?!? YOU JUST HANG OUT HERE, I'LL GO UPSTAIRS FOR A BIT AND BE RIGHT BACK!! OKAY?!?" She said with a smile as she reached for the table and pushed it with her giant hands.
Ben and Sara fell over as the whole table was thrust forward, giving their mother room to stand up again. The two watched as she boomed away, making her way towards the stairs.
"Ben. . " Sara said, a little fear in her voice, "I'm. . I'm kinda. . kinda glad that. . t-that Mom isn't here anymore."
Ben looked at her, fear still gripping her voice and physical appearance. After all of that. . he was actually glad too. The boy shook his head as he helped his sister up and they continued making their way towards their brother.

Mike was stuck. His sister had run to go get help, even though he yelled at her to stay right there. He heard, just like his siblings had that their mother had went to go get some food. Still, he wasn't exactly in a good place himself. Looking around, he saw that he was stuck in the wreckage of one of his dad's old inventions. Which one, he wasn't sure. It was old and rusty, and a big socket had got him slightly stuck underneath his body. It was only for the fact that the socket was tilted that had kept him from getting crushed by it. That is why he wanted Sara to stay here. If she had just tilted him a little, he could have broken free already. What was worse too, was that with their Mom moving the table, the socket had started to shift in his general direction. . the weight starting to increase.
Trying with all of his might, Mike attempted to pull himself upward and out of the socket.
No use. It didn't even budge. Wait. . no, maybe a little but. . more towards them than away. Mike was a little scared. He didn't want to die.
"Mike!!" Mike heard as his two siblings rushed over towards him. He breathed a sigh of relief. He had been worried that they wouldn't come back to help him. The two siblings went over and carefully looked at the socket. With Mike now helping them, the two other siblings were able to pull Mike out. . freeing him from his prison.
"Whew, thanks guys!" Mike said, a smile on his face.
BOOOM!!!!
The kids froze as the table and everything on it shifted. Something. . something was coming down the stairs.
BOOOM!!!
The socket that Mike had been under slammed downward due to the shift in weight. Mike swallowed as he looked at the wreckage collapsed. . realizing that only moments ago. . that could have been him. The three kids ran away from all of Frank's old stuff, worried that something else might fall down.
BOOOOM!!!!
