After swallowing the gartilon, Starfire left the tower to go flying around. Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Robin were fighting in some tournament in another dimension or something, so she and Raven had been left to amuse themselves while the rest of the team was away.
Today was going well, though! It had been a long time since she had eaten a gartilon. This one looked a little strange, though. She remembered gartilons having more arms and horns. Also, she was pretty sure they were supposed to be purple. Still, at least it tasted good!
As Starfire flew over some skyscrapers, she began to feel funny. It wasn’t a good kind of funny, either. Her stomach certainly hadn’t been filled up by the gartilon she had eaten, as it had only been an inch and a half tall, but now she felt very full. And the feeling wasn’t going away, if anything it was getting worse! It felt like food was being forced into her stomach after she had already eaten a filling meal!
Starfire winced and put a hand on her full stomach as she flew.
“Ohh, what is going on? I feel as if I have partaken in the Tamaranian Great Celebration feast three times over, and yet I have eaten barely anything today!”
Her stomach gurgled unhappily under her hand, and to her shock she could feel that her stomach was starting to bulge, even if it was barely noticable (your growth is super slow).
Starfire winced in pain as she removed her hand from her over-filled belly.
“Oww… Perhaps I am having one of the allergic reactions my earth friends have told me about… But what could be causing it?"
Starfire did not know that she had swallowed a human by mistake, nor that you could not be harmed by her stomach acid and that it was making you grow instead of digesting you.
