Catching her breath, Kelly dropped her white soled flip flops to the ground. She slipped her right foot into her sandal, grasping the clear plastic candy red strap with her toes and then sliding it on. Putting them both on, Kelly stood there wiggling her toes for a moment. She started at the ground, going over what she had just done.
Absently, she turned around to see what was up with the guy fixing his bike. Kelly froze.
He was staring right at her with a disturbed look on his face. Did he see the whole thing? Or was he wondering what in the world she was trembling over steping on. Nervously she reached for the remote in her pocket.
The last guy was a jerk, but this guy was just innocent. Should she really just go after him?
