Here he was trapped in a maze of folds made up from a giant crumpled handkerchief with a spider of monstrous proportions. It was like a nightmare. His ears pricked up at the sound of skittering legs nearby.
"I've got to do something!" Bryan thought to himself with a gasp.
Sweat collected at his brow as he strained to determine what direction he entered from. The spider would undoubtedly pinpoint his location as soon as he made his move, so he had to make it count.
With agility that surprised even him, Bryan scuttled up the sloping cotton landscape. His hands thankfully finding a grip in the pitch darkness of the box. Lugging himself over a crest, he prepared to continue when in his haste, his footing slipped sending him sliding down the steep fold of fabric.
A sound of many legs on cardboard gave the tiny man a shot of adrenaline. He quickly recovered from his tumble, blindly tripping forward.
Light made itself known as he passed another fold. It seemed as if the spider was right upon him as he threw his trembling form through the tear and into the heavenly light. Bryan didn't stop there, he hurriedly picked himself up and ran as fast as his thin legs would permit. Ahead of him lay a large object that he wasted no time in taking cover behind.
For tiny Bryan, he felt like a helpless animal being pursued by an unstoppable predator. Gulping nervously, he timidly peeked from his cover.
Nothing appeared through the ominous portal that was just a minuscule tear in the large shipping box. The shrunken man breathed a sigh of relief. He was safe.
"Now I just need to find Zack." He looked around in an attempt to figure out just where he was. Excitement about his breakthrough surprise he had planned began to return, overshadowing the frightening encounter he just escaped from.
The world around him was unimaginably enormous. Bryan backed away from the object he had taken cover behind, squinting curiously at what appeared to be writing pressed into it.
"MIRADO 174-No.2" Read the letters in a font larger than he was. He could only gape at the enormous object that in reality was just a regular pencil.
