Freedom Bid

"Boys!" Ryan tried to scream. "Let me out! There's been a mistake. I'm no bug!"

For all intents and purposes, however, that's exactly what the unfortunate grade school teacher had become ' a tiny bug collected by two of the boys he had been supervising for a class field trip. Trapped inside a collection cage carried by Nathan, the transformed teacher remained helpless to communicate his dilemma to his students, now engaged in the hunt for more insects to add to the cage.

The prospect of sharing his limited space with any other bugs unnerved the teacher-turned-insect.

The boys with their mesh nets approached a vast field. Inside the cage, which was constantly shaken as they moved, their teacher attempted to think of some plan of action.

Not much time passed before Jeremy succeeded in capturing a bug in his net. Nathan stood next to his friend. "I'll open the cage," he said. "You drop it inside."

Ryan listened. Should he make a bid for freedom? He might not get another chance.
