![]() | Years ![]() A free verse poem with a warning ![]() |
Greetings Itchy Water ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I have carefully read "Years" ![]() ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm not a professional, just a fellow WDC member. All suggestions are simply my own opinion to be used or discarded as you see fit. ![]() ![]() ![]() Years – A poem about growing old without making memories. ![]() This poem expresses deep regret for a past not worth remembering, and you've accomplished it using only a few, well-chosen words. Being among the older generation, I can totally relate to what you're saying. Although I don't see my life as wasted, I kick myself for letting days go by without making better use of them. The plea at the end was a nice touch that actually turns the sorrowful tone of the piece into an inspirational one. ![]() You have beautiful wording and writing. I couldn't find anything that needed changing. ![]() It's a wonderful poem with deep meanings that are memorable and witty. Excellent job! ![]() So I count on my fingers. I need my other hand— Not enough hands To count the years it has been. (This is my favorite stanza because it mixes humor with the regret.) Thanks for sharing your writing! evertrap Don't Forget To Enter "Invalid Item" ![]() This review has been submitted for consideration of "Good Deeds Go Noticed" ![]()
