What an awful thing to go through but in the end, before her life ended you were about to say the words "I love you" rather or not you meant it or not and I have no doubt that you did not mean it at that particular time but isn't funny how we can really forgive someone even after they are gone as a huge weight lifts when we finally do? It sounds like your mother had a rough and hard sad life as well but that does not. excuse her behavior with you and your sister and it doesn't undo the damage you did to you and your sister, sorry just my opinion.
I am very moved by this very important life story in which you have shared in here... I hope you will keep sharing and most of all I hope you continue to write! A five-star for sure!
