The Way of the Stars ![]() The sky at night will stay with me into the next life. ![]() |
Hello Spiritual dawning, first light, A cosmic poem, both in imagery and meaning I guess. And not overlong, putting across the narrative succinctly enough. Going through it... I look into the night sky and there they are again - was that a surprise? A billion trillion glistening stars, they've now become my friends They never fade, they never faulter, keeping us humans pleased - falter - all stars eventually die. Where they begin and where they end, has always kept us teased - the life cycle of stars has been well understood since the 1950's. Like shining messages deep in the night, we wonder what they say They greet us well every darkened night for a poets beautiful sway - not a great verse, I'd drop it. Each light does shape a form in the sky, I'll never understand - - constellations? The cosmos is a light for thinkers who write their names in sand - yes, from starlight we can calculate the chemical composition, the distance and relative velocity. Boom! Science! When I pass from Earth to heaven, I'll remember the way of the stars And also memories of the love that God said could be all ours. - bit of a garbled line for the ending - this needs a rewrite. Enjoyed the read and the cosmic imagery..................Em
