*Note1* My review is meant to be honest, encouraging, and respectful in accordance with WDC guidelines.

ABOUT THIS STORY:
This is a story about two people who take local action to improve their town.

WHAT I LIKED:
I liked that one action inspired another which inspired another. The writing style was very conversational and made the story easy to read. I also liked that the story was grounded in reality which made it easy to connect with.

INSPIRATION:
The inspiration for this story is a song by Steve Earle called "Revolution Starts Now." The song was written in the early 2000's as he had political concerns over the Bush administration's direction it was taking the country. The song is a call to action emphasizing that democracy requires constant vigilance, active participation, and individual empowerment. Democracy starts at the local level and grows upward. That said, I'm looking for similar elements in the story.

MY THOUGHTS:

I thought the story did a good job showing us local action and how it grew to a bigger movement to help improve the town. Sometimes inspiration comes in places we don't expect.

The main character was Noah who always did what was expected of him, but when he sees an opportunity to try and help, he finds his courage and does just that. A story told from the heart.

Good luck in the contest.
