I noticed this on the sidebar, stopped to read it, and couldn't leave without a note of appreciation *Smile*

The natural setting is lovely: who doesn't enjoy a hike through the great British countryside? I grew up with the Wind in the Willows, and you've written something with a similar peculiar charm, as though old Badger was telling a story by the winter fireside. The lack of dialogue is something we don't take note of until the fine print at the end. You've painted a picturesque vignette with vivid visual details that flow like the rippling stream you've written of. It could be a legend, scribbled on the back of a vintage postcard.

Perhaps you should drop this off with Arakun the Twisted Raccoon Author Icon at Twisted Tales and have the chance for an award. The twist is gentle, but I know she would appreciate reading it.
