Let go
And let God
Take all your stress away.
I used to think I knew how to let go and let God take all my stress away. However since moving into a long-term care facility, I have encountered stress on a new level. I suspect part of the problem may be the fact that I am not posting in my blog on a regular basis. Another part is that my prayer and meditation time has been disrupted.
I used to say prayers before breakfast, but this was paused when I began eating breakfast between 6:45 and 7:45. I also have physical therapy five days a week, but with no specific time. Lately I have found myself getting distracted with Facebook instead of reading, writing, or saying prayers. This is usually an indication that I am experiencing stress.
I remember my Mother always said a prayer before going to work. That helped her deal with the stress of being a food server. I also think it helped slow the progess of her dementia. I am getting back to my prayer and meditation schedule and posting in my blog. Having a regular time to do things is good, as long as you do not let the schedule become an obsession.
