About This Newsletter

It is September, with beautiful scenery in local parks. Time for a walking meditation.


Letter from the editor

It has been a long time since I took a walking meditation in a local park. When I did take a walking meditation, took my prayer book, journal, and a snack of some sort. I would walk a while, taking in the beauty of nature, before finding a place to set down. Next I would say a prayer of gratitude, I would close my eyes and mediate before writing my thoughts in my journal.

I have lived in Las Vegas for several years, so September was the best time to start my walking meditations. Walking meditations are especially good for writing nature and spiritual poetry. If you take walking meditations I suggest transposing your pen and paper journal entries into your online blog, focusing on descriptions of nature.
