About This Newsletter

I have come to the conclusion that there is a difference between resolutions and goals. I made a resolution on January 1 and broke it on January 2.


Letter from the editor

A resolution is something you want to do, but does not have concrete steps to achieve it. A goal has concrete steps to achieve it.

Do you want to read a holy book this year? Do you want to begin mediating in 2026? Do you want to keep a spiritual journal?

Whatever it is you want to do you need to write it down with steps to achieve it. If you want to meditate, you have to chose a time in the morning or evening. You also need to find a place without distractions.

If you want to keep a spiritual journal, you have to chose a journal. This journal can either be pen and paper or online. Be sure to write your reason for keeping the journal and list your goals. If you list your goals you can bring yourself to account for keeping them.

If you want to read a holy book, you begin at the beginning. Then write down, in your journal, where you left off and any thoughts about what you read.
